Job Description:
NetScout Systems Inc. Position: Senior RF Design & Optimization Engineer (Berkeley,
CA) Duties: Calibrate RF propagation models using proprietary
technology and off-the shelf software tools including: Asset, Atoll, GeoPlan,
and PlanetEV. Analyze field measurements (RF-path loss) data.
Support RAN Engineers with UMTS, LTE, and VOLTE optimization using
TrueCall. Develop new use cases for RF optimization using data collected
by TrueCall Server. Generate reports using plotting and standard
data analysis software tools. Prepare and present results to peers
and customers. Advise clients and internal engineers in
calibration methodologies. Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field and
three (3) years of experience performing RF network design, planning,
and optimization of VoLTE, LTE, UMTS, and GSM networks; or in
the alternative, Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field and
five (5) years of experience as indicated above. Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): leveraging software
planning tools including Asset, Atoll, GeoPlan, and Planet EV to
calibrate RF propagation models; DE analyzing real-traffic patterns on
mobile networks and generating reports DE developing new use cases for
