Senior Project Manager: Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Full Time - Berkeley We are seeking a senior-level Racial
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Project Manager to join the
Management and Policy Planning Services (MAPS) team based in either
our Berkeley or Pasadena, California offices. -Proof of up-to-date
COVID-19 vaccination is required for all MIG
staff.ResponsibilitiesRacial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
Engagement and Planning: -Working as part of a multidisciplinary
team, your principal role as the DEI Project Manager will be to
cultivate and manage the Racial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
marketplace for MIG. Your DEI projects will focus on assisting our
nonprofit and public agency clients to achieve greater equity in
their organizations and communities. Conducting equity assessments,
designing and leading community engagement plans, and developing
and delivering trainings are core components of this
work.Cross-Service DEI-Centered Project Collaboration: -Your role
will also include helping to center DEI in projects across MIG's
service areas. As a full-service planning and design firm, MIG
projects include landscape and urban design, transportation and
land use planning, parks and recreation plans, higher education
plans, communication and behavior change campaigns, and outdoor
play space design, to name just a few.Managing Projects: -You will
provide overarching project direction, lead internal and external
teams, manage projects including scopes of work, budgets, and
schedules to help our public, private, and non-profit clients
create innovative and equitable plans, policies, and solutions.
-Project Work: -You will be engaged in all aspects of project
design and execution, producing these plans with a team and
facilitating meetings for these projects. -
This is a full-time, hourly position. MIG works on projects
throughout the US and some travel, evening, and weekend work will
be required for community engagement efforts, site evaluations, or
to meet deadlines. MIG encourages a work-life balance, and these
excess hours can be offset during the week when possible. (We are
currently working remotely due to COVID-19 and our offices are only
open on a limited basis. Hybrid work will be possible when we
reopen. Proof of up-to-date vaccination is required for in-person
work.)QualificationsTo accomplish the responsibilities, you will be
