Job Number: 2176458Job Title: Senior AccountantLocation: BerkeleyCompensation: $90-$110kJob Summary:A well-established company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team reporting to the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.Job Title Responsibilities:* Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.* Responsible for the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.* Prepare and review monthly account analyses and provide explanations for variances.* Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.* Assist with the development and maintenance of budgets and financial forecasts.* Drive and support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.* Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.Job Title Requirements:* Bachelor's or Associates' degree in Accounting or a related field* Minimum 4+ years of accounting experience required, with at least 2 years in a senior role.* Strong proficiency with Excel and other MS applications.* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.* High degree of financial acumen and awareness of financial responsibility.* Must be team-oriented and have a strong work ethic.* Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.About Nelson Connects:If you're looking for a new opportunity, the recruiting and staffing experts at Nelson Connects can help.
