Drew School seeks a full-time Science teacher for the 2026-2027
school year. We seek a teacher who has experience teaching Life
Science/Biology. We seek an educator who will be a collegial,
collaborative, and supportive school community member. This
position requires someone to teach four classes. We are seeking an
experienced science educator with teaching experience across all
levels of high school. Our science program places a strong emphasis
on inquiry-based, hands-on learning, and we value creativity and
real-world application of scientific principles. We want to ensure
that a new leader in our school also shares these values. Salary
range: $83,000 - $105,000 DOE Teaching Duties and Responsibilities
Teach 4 sections of science classes Serve as a student advisor
Design and lead Experiential Electives Lead an Drew Education for
Active Lifelong Learning (DEALL) week experience Mentor a student
club activity Maintain high standards of professionalism Work in
alignment with the mission of Drew School Requirements: Desirable
Skills and Experience B.A./B.S. in Biology, or associated field
(graduate degree preferred) Teaching courses in Biology, Anatomy &
Physiology, and Environmental Science Knowledge of and experience
with recent best practices in science instruction Curriculum
development Best practices for teaching students with learning
differences Differentiated instruction Experience with
Understanding by Design for curriculum review Ideal Dispositions
Culturally competent and committed to equity and inclusion Enjoys
working with teenagers Self-reflective and growth-minded
Collaborates with adults and students Drew offers a supportive
