The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Airworthiness Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, Missouri. Position Responsibilities: Critical thinking, problem solving, change management, project management, influencing without authority, & consultation Ability to communicate concisely in writing, verbally, one-on-one, in small groups, and to large audiences Experience managing, developing, motivating and communicating responsibilities to team members Maintain situational awareness of the overall program and critical path sequencing Proactively communicate with various leadership team/s, peers and customers Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 1+ years of experience military Handbook 516C (MIL-HDBK-516C), or EMAR21J airworthiness 5+ years of experience in engineering Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): An active U.S. Secret or active Top Secret Security Clearance Experience in FAA certification Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to meet aggressive schedules Experience leading or managing projects and/or teams Experience leading a large project or program which required the use of project management tools and processes Experience with the operation of aircraft systems and knowledge of aircraft performance in one or more of the following areas: aerodynamics, stability and control, propulsion, structures, and mission systems Experience with planning project budgets and monitoring financial performance Typical Education/Experience: - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
