AirCapture -is -developing -mobile, on-site -direct air capture (DAC) -systems -that -pull -climate- changing CO2---from the atmosphere -and -make it immediately available for industrial processes. - We -provide -a greener, more cost-effective feedstock to our customers -and -aim -to -make atmospheric carbon dioxide removal at gigaton-scale economically viable -on a greatly accelerated time frame. - The market for materials made with atmospheric carbon is poised to grow dramatically -- come join our efforts to enable this growth! - -The Electrical/Control Engineer will work on the design of CO2 processing technologies and collaborate with a team of technologists and scientists across multiple fields. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the conceptualization, design, prototyping and manufacturing of the DAC systems. This is a strategic role that involves assisting the company with technology development and commercialization, identifying necessary resources and supporting the company's sales team. As a key member of our fast-growing company, the Electrical/Control Engineer will be eligible for equity-based awards, in addition to a regular salary. - -Position Requirements

  • Design, prototyping and testing of the company's technologies
  • Lead control system design, PLC software development
  • Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for parts and assemblies
  • Work with external vendors (PCB, DFM)
  • Responsibility for detailed design and documentation of instrumentation, control and electrical systems
  • Support and/or lead experimentation to advance the company's technology platforms
  • Design, build and test automated test fixtures by collaborating with mechanical engineers
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations
  • Perform Electrical and Control System design and analysis for FEED studies
  • Create Electrical load lists, calculations and single line diagrams
  • Good knowledge of operating systems and computer networking
  • Familiar with process control instrumentation used in the measurement of vacuum, pressure, temperature, speed and flow
  • Understanding of PCB schematics, layout, materials, board stackups, electronics and sensors
  • Ability to troubleshoot existing electrical control systems comprised of Motors, Drives, Program Logic Controllers, HMI systems
  • Effectively communicate and respond to questions from managers, engineers of various disciplines, clients and customers.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time (domestic and international)

    Education -and Experience -
    • B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
    • 5+ years experience as an electrical or controls engineer in related fields
    • Experience with multi-disciplinary engineering projects -
    • Familiar with principles of the NEC, NFPA 79 and UL508A
      Preferred -Skills
      • Allen Bradley CompactLogix and ControlLogix PLC Platforms, PanelView Platforms.
      • AutoCAD experience developing electrical and control schematics
      • Process packages and plants control systems -
      • Process instrumentation selection, hook up and calibration -
      • Operator control panel design, build and commissioning.
      • MCC and control system design for process control -
      • MCC and control panels design and fabrication - -
      • Experience with Visual Studio programming in C#, html and VB a plus
      • Robot programming, vision programming, HMI development & motion control
      • RF/microwave engineering
      • The ability to work collaboratively with team members across multiple projects -
        Note: -this -position requires physical activities including climbing stairs or ladders, stooping, crouching to work on equipment, -operating machinery -and lifting and carrying loads of 40 -lbs -or more.
