Who We Are:
Zendar is creating a high-resolution radar imaging system that has resolution similar to lidar, allowing cars to see in inclement weather. We want to change the role of radar in the autonomous driving sensor stack and demonstrate that radars can take on many of the functions of lidar at a much lower cost and in all weather conditions. Zendar's technology fuses data streams from multiple sensors to build a more accurate scene and utilizes machine learning to predict likely environmental scenarios and provide situational awareness. All of this works in an embedded AI processor with tight latency and performance guarantees to deliver reliable sensing and perception.

Who You Are:
We are hiring a senior or lead Build and Release Engineer to own our development, build, and release environment. You will define and maintain the toolchain that all of Zendar uses for software development and release. Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning the build system for our C, C++, and CUDA code
• Managing and deploying third-party dependencies and packages for both C++ and Python software
• Building our CI infrastructure and defining workflows for coverage, nightly, regression, and hardware-in-the-loop tests
• Defining our configuration management and release processes and building our continuous deployment (CD) systems
• Managing our git repos
• Selecting, integrating, and deploying developer tools such as documentation builds, coverage, static code analysis, etc.
  In this role, you will be a force multiplier for the entire development team. As such, we are looking for someone with a strong sense of ownership and a bias towards action. You should have excellent development skills and a deep understanding of build and code management tools and techniques. As part of a small company, you will have a high degree of independence and will be expected to make sound decisions and deliver excellent results. You will also have the opportunity to grow our team and mentor a more junior engineer.
  What We Look For:
  
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Deep experience with cmake, make, docker, and gcc
  • Fluency with dependency and package management technologies for both C/C++ (eg artifactory, apt, ansible) and Python (pip, pdm)
  • Deep experience with setting up, maintaining, and automating CI pipelines
  • Excellent git skills
  • Good Python software development skills
  • Outstanding sense of ownership over your work
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
    Bonus Points:
    
    • Experience with automotive software development environment and processes such as A-SPICE, MISRA code analysis, and the like
    • Experience working with deploying and testing software on embedded systems
    • Experience with managing CUDA installation and versions
    • Familiarity with Ansible and Linux system administration
