As a Process Engineer at Aircapture, you will be instrumental in the process design of novel Direct Air Capture "DAC" systems onsite in our development and production facility in Berkeley, California . You will partner with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams and use your innovative thought process and optimistic mindset to propel the conceptualization, design, prototyping and manufacturing of the DAC systems as we work together to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Please Note-due to the requirements of our federal contracts, we can only hire a U.S. Citizen for this role.

Salary: $130,000 - 165,000 per year

What You'll Do Here

Project documentation and technical archive management and handling

Project control and project management

Engineering documentation/drawing preparation

Procurement engineering and vendor management

Design and simulation of prototypes and process packages

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (domestically and internationally)

Your Skills and Abilities Include

5+ years of experience with process design engineering

Chemical or mechanical engineering background

CAD software experience especially AutoCAD and SolidWorks

Process design and process optimization for prototype, process skids and process plants

Piping system design and simulation experience is a plus

CFD and thermal fluid analysis expertise strongly preferred

Design experience in thermal fluid, refrigeration, compression, gas treatment and systems engineering is a plus

Thisposition requires physical activities including climbing stairs or ladders, stooping, crouching to work on equipment,operating machineryand lifting and carrying loads of 40lbsor more.
