Team and Role: eBay Live is one of eBay’s top strategic priorities,
operating in a true zero-to-one space to define a new, interactive
shopping experience for customers globally. As Live scales, we are
building a dynamic, engaging, and differentiated marketplace that
brings buyers and sellers together in entirely new ways. The
Director of Product, eBay Live will lead a critical product area
within the Live ecosystem, with significant opportunities to shape
high-impact portfolios serving core Live customers—including
seller/hosts and trust. This role will drive strategy and execution
across experiences that power growth, enable creator success, and
uphold marketplace integrity at scale. The leader will set bold
product vision, influence cross-functional roadmaps, and build a
high-performing team to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions
that accelerate eBay Live’s evolution as a global, trusted
platform. This role requires strong product leadership, customer
obsession, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly
collaborative environment. You will partner across Product, Design,
Engineering, Trust, Policy, Legal, Analytics, Operations, and
Global Markets to bring bold ideas to life while maintaining a high
bar for quality, compliance, and business impact. What You Will
Accomplish: Set product vision and strategy for eBay Live by
defining and articulating a compelling multi-year product vision
aligned to eBay Live and the broader eBay marketplace strategy,
owning end-to-end buyer and seller journeys, and leveraging
qualitative insights and quantitative data to inform strategic
direction and investment decisions. Design and deliver a multi-year
roadmap by developing and executing a clear, prioritized roadmap
that balances customer value, marketplace growth, seller success,
and operational scalability, while defining success metrics and
measurable outcomes to guide prioritization and track impact.
Deliver innovative, differentiated Live experiences by leading the
creation of engaging, seamless, and scalable Live product
experiences that strengthen buyer trust, empower sellers, and
differentiate eBay in live commerce, ensuring high-quality UX
across complex, multi-system flows. Champion the customer and
experience quality by demonstrating deep empathy for buyers and
sellers, continuously incorporating customer insights into product
decisions, and partnering closely with Design and Research to test,
learn, and iterate while maintaining a strong quality bar. Drive
cross-functional execution at scale by breaking down silos,
aligning highly matrixed teams to deliver complex, cross-domain
initiatives, and establishing strong operating mechanisms that
clarify priorities and enable teams to move quickly with focus and
accountability. Build and inspire a high-performing team by
recruiting, developing, and retaining exceptional product talent,
fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture grounded in strong
product judgment and clear goals, and empowering teams to think
strategically and execute with excellence. What You Will Bring: 12
years of product management experience, with strong customer-first
product judgment; marketplace and/or eCommerce experience
preferred. Proven experience setting product vision and leading
multi-year strategy in high-growth or zero-to-one environments.
Demonstrated ability to translate customer and business insights
into clear priorities, tradeoffs, and execution-ready roadmaps.
Strong end-to-end product depth, with experience delivering
high-quality UX across complex, cross-functional platforms.
Data-driven mindset, with expertise defining success metrics and
using quantitative and qualitative inputs to guide decisions. Track
record of elevating buyer and seller experiences through deep
customer empathy and close Design and Research partnership.
Experience leading in global, matrixed environments and driving
alignment across Product, Engineering, Trust, Policy, Legal,
Category, Operations, and Analytics. Strong business acumen and
ability to navigate ambiguity, establish clarity, and deliver
measurable outcomes. 5 years of people leadership experience
managing product managers and building high-performing teams.
Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to align
senior stakeholders around product strategy through compelling,
data-driven narratives. Additional Details The base pay range for
