Job Description:

The Program Director oversees day to day operations, maintaining fidelity to Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment and other evidence-based practices utilized. Must understand and adhere to the principles of recovery, culturally responsive, strength-based practices, client empowerment, and ensure that all services provided are trauma-informed. Develops systems that track performance measures and client outcomes. Plans, supervises and facilitates with staff a wide range of individual group and family treatments; maintains the program according to licensing standards, provides training and supervision to a multidisciplinary team of professional and paraprofessional staff, maintains occupancy standards and compliance with various contracts, manages the program?s budget, oversees the maintenance of the site, and participates as a member of the agency?s Management Team. Required: The ideal candidate is a Licensed clinical provider, with 2 years of experience post- licensure. Is experienced in the field of co-occurring disorders; committed to the practices and principles of wellness and recovery; a seasoned clinician/administrator who is skillful at training, coaching and mentoring a multidisciplinary staff; who enjoys being a hands-on director in every sense of the word; and projects warmth, enthusiasm, hopefulness, and compassion. This individual will be adept at maintaining the requirements of multiple contracts, meeting utilization requirements, as well as keeping the physical site in good working condition, attractive, and homelike. In addition, the candidate must meet the following requirements: Qualifications: Master?s degree and two years post-licensure in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling. Three years? experience working in a mental health treatment, substance abuse treatment or related social service environment, plus two-year supervisory experience working in a similar environment. Make sound clinical and good faith decisions based on commonly utilized Evidence-Based Practices. Must demonstrate an ability to work both independently and as a member of the Agency?s Management Team. Strong interpersonal skills that encourage clear and direct communication for ongoing personal and/or staff development. The ability to prioritize effectively on competing demands on time. Solid written skills to meet the required standards of documentation and provide direct feedback on and about documentation standards to staff consistent with Medi-Cal, CCL, and Agency requirements. Develop policies, procedures and action plans to ensure that CARF standards are being met and maintained as well as correcting any audit findings. Must be able to assist in the evacuation of people from the three-story facility in the event of an emergency. Must be able to meet the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 requirements. Must have valid California Driver?s License and a driving record acceptable by the Agency?s insurance company and is required to utilize one?s personal or Agency automobile to transport clients. Essential Functions/Skills: Understands Bonita House?s strategic plan and finds ways to implement and execute the mission, vision, and values at the direct service level. Builds, maintains and complies with Bonita House?s, Medi-Cal, and CCL policies and procedures as it relates to day to day program operations. Facilitates ongoing collaboration with Quality Assurance and Human Resources to meet personnel program needs including but not limited to; CQRT, CARF, training, performance management, onboarding, recruitment, etc. Adheres and maintains all safety standards as they relate to the Agencies Injury and Illness Prevention Program as well as OSHA and Historical Landmark guidelines. Performs duties of mental health and substance abuse counseling to individual group and family therapy. Supervision, consultation, and guidance of the clinical team treating adults within a milieu setting providing ongoing assessment and intervention as needed. Creates awareness of and facilitates cultural competence amongst staff and clients during the service delivery model. Ensures that all staff is informed and trained as SME?s on trends related to client care and treatment. Direct crisis intervention and crisis management services including sharing on-call responsibility. Supervise, plan, and facilitate a wide range of direct service groups integrated within a psycho-social rehabilitation model. Monitor intake interviews that include: community liaison functions; clinical assessments; and written documentation. Additional clinical responsibilities include: monitoring the maintenance of quality clinical records is consistently delivered to clients approving all treatment goals, ongoing progress note review/appropriate required signatures for the client caseload; conducting clinical staff meetings and training; act as liaison with other mental health agencies. Administrative responsibilities include certification site visit preparation (e.g. Medi-Cal, CCL, CARF), preparing program reports on a regular basis, and meeting contracted units of service. Participate in budget development/management of county contracts, private sector contracts and private pay sources in conjunction with the Executive Team. Assist with program development as well as ensures compliance with policies and procedures directly related to risk and funding mandates. Perform other clinical duties assigned.
