the Full Time MBA (FTMBA) Program is responsible for a broad range
of activities that support students, staff and faculty at the Haas
School of Business. This position is service and student oriented,
with the primary goal to ensure that FTMBA faculty receive
excellent curricular support and FTMBA students receive excellent
program support and superior student service. Major areas of
responsibility are program planning and support, event planning,
student services, communications, database maintenance, and other
administrative duties as needed.ResponsibilitiesAcademic Advising:
Provides advice and assistance to students on academic and degree
progress and major requirements; assists students in resolving
scheduling conflicts, and similar issues.Advise students on
academic and degree progress.Manage communication and student
advising strategy planning via Slack.Key contact/resource for
students and internal Haas clients on questions related to core
curriculum, registration, program requirements and other requests
for information.Advise FTMBA students regarding GPA and final
degree audits.Manage and oversee communication strategy and
enrollment process with other graduate program advisors and non-MBA
students regarding enrollment in MBA electives.Serve as lead
academic advisor and manage programming for the international
student community.Applies professional student services concepts in
providing a variety of student services to the student population
served by the organization, and to faculty and management within
that organization.Manage logistics for MBA 293 Independent Study
and MBA 294 Student-Initiated Courses.Troubleshoot enrollment
issues.Coordinate core course waiver exams, order class readers,
pull rosters for faculty, create and send study.net rosters.Advise
students and faculty with study.net, bCourses, and CalCentral
questions.Liaise with other program staff to develop activities and
events that enhance FTMBA student experience.Manages and presents
course evaluation reports after each term to apprise Director of
faculty performance and student feedback.Communicate with partner
schools to manage fall semester international exchange program
enrollment.Manage query reports and analyze data related to
marketing/rankings and maintain quality of student records
data.Liaise with the admissions team to manage transition from
admitted student to enrolled student.Partners with the admissions
team on managing class visits.Manage academic website content for
current students and newly admitted students.Coordinate additional
student services projects as requested.Serves as contact/resource
for students on operations, billing, registration, program
requirements, and other requests for information.Career

gain knowledge of or to become more proficient with campus policies

appropriate.Required QualificationsKnowledge of advising and
counseling techniques.Excellent Interpersonal skills by
demonstrating a high-level of professionalism while working with
faculty, students and team members under stressful
situations.Service oriented demonstrating multicultural
competencies when working with diverse populations.Excellent
analytical skills, demonstrating critical thinking skills in
problem identification and reasoning.Works independently, with
minimal supervision while demonstrating excellent multi-tasking
skills. Must be able to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and
work as part of a team.The successful candidate must have a high
comfort level with technology, demonstrating proficiency with MS
Word, Excel, and Access and comfort working with CRM
systems.Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for special
events such as Graduation, Orientation, and other events.Excellent
verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates active
listening and displays a finesse in maintaining cooperative
relationships with other departments, programs, universities,
community organizations and other institutions.EducationBachelor's
degree in related area and / or equivalent experience /
training.Preferred QualificationsPrevious work experience in
student service with an academic focus helpful.Understanding of or
the ability to quickly learn University rules and
regulations.Knowledge of ability to quickly learn University
processes and procedures.Knowledge of ability to quickly learn
University-specific computer application programs and pertinent
databases.Salary & BenefitsThis is a non-exempt, biweekly paid
position. Hourly pay is commensurate with experience up to $33.05
