The Role
We are searching for a sales leader who has mastered creative consultative selling with the "art of the possible'' conversations that lead to new product sales. You and your sales team will seek to deeply understand customer pain points across verticals and compel them to use our actionable data insights to solve their critical business problems. Your background should include a successful track record as an enterprise sales leader who has sold complex, cloud-native data and software solutions.
As the Vice President of Sales you will report to our COO and be a critical part of our Leadership Team. You will own hitting new and expansion ARR targets. This includes developing the strategy and executing the plan to achieve venture-backed company revenue growth.
What you'll do


  • Own and drive revenue from new customer acquisition and customer expansion
  • "Hunt" new customers and drive sales scale based on repeatable sales approach and targeting
  • "Farm" existing customer base to drive new expansion opportunities
  • Effectively communicate company and solution value propositions through presentations and proposals
  • Build a sales team structure to support both direct and indirect sales efforts while minimizing channel conflict
  • Lead and grow a world-class sales team
  • Operate as a motivational leader and player-coach
  • Support the sales team in rigorously qualifying opportunities and moving them towards a successful close
  • Manage and regularly report your sales pipeline and forecast; Inform quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Proactively incorporate and orchestrate internal cross-functional resources required to successfully secure and maintain customers
  • Provide market validation and focus for marketing, product and finance
  • Orchestrate regularly scheduled reviews and solicit feedback from Tier 1 customers
  • Report on forces that may introduce business risks and the possible effect on internal and customers' ability to buy.
  • Interpret and evaluate pricing and contracts to ensure proper adherence, mitigate exposure and eliminate risk, while achieving expected results
  • Build and continuously improve the sales process to reduce sales cycles and increase pipeline to close conversion rates and increase total contract value over time
  • Remain current on industry trends, market activities, government regulations and competitive landscape

    Your background likely includes:

    • Proven track record as a driver and influential sales executive who has brought to market new products / solutions while delivering revenue growth for an early-stage company
    • Seasoned Sales and Sales Leadership experience in data and data platform sales or related, complex, SaaS solutions
    • Consultative approach to sales, with success uncovering customer pain points and solving customer/industry problems through new technology products/solutions
    • Ability to creatively sell against sales obstacles, including customer product requirements, budget constraints and competitive threats
    • Mature decision-making and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and strong organizational skills that allow for "clean" and repeatable deal structures
    • Strong listening, presentation and negotiation skills
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes, while balancing company and customer needs
    • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service through long term relationship-building skills
    • Open minded, creative, inspiring, a challenger, a team player, a no excuses executer who leads with conviction and confidence and has a pure and unrelenting desire and need to win
