The Business Development Manager will support the Business Development activities of the firm's key office initiatives, and will work closely with our divisional executives, Partners and Principals. In this role, you will serve as a key member of the Business Development Team by participating in strategy sessions, planning sessions, relationship building and occasionally in the pursuit of new opportunities.This position requires a personable candidate who is highly proficient in all business development software, particularly Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access, as well as basic graphic design. The candidate should have extremely strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities, multi-task, problem solve and adjust from a daily routine are all musts. We are seeking someone with a proactive, forward-thinking approach and a client service and business development mindset. Stand out candidates will have a minimum of five years of experience specific to the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) Industry or Professional Services equivalent.Your Impact:

• Works with and directly reports to local key stakeholder with overall oversite of the corporate Director of National Business Development.
• Serve as a key member of the Business Development Team by participating in strategy sessions, planning sessions, relationship building and occasionally in the pursuit of new opportunities.
• Manage and provide technical, writing, editing and graphic support to the office Principals on brochures, presentations, proposals, interviews, meetings, etc.
• Maintain CRM database (Salesforce) and coordinate with the corporate office.
• Provide research as needed to support both local and national strategic business development directions.
• Attend social events as a representative of PBK.
• Maintain business development filing systems to ensure proper and timely handling of correspondence, documents, materials and records.Here's What You'll Need:
  • 10 years of Marketing/Business Development experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated expertise in Salesforce, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite software. (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with clients on the behalf of PBK.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and customer service skills.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities, multi-task, problem solve and adjust from a daily routine.Here's How You'll Stand Out:
    • 5 years of experience within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry or Professional Services equivalent.Firm BackgroundPBK has built a client base of more than 200 clients, a list that includes school districts, university systems, hospital systems and Fortune 500 corporations. The actual offered base salary for California locations will vary depending on factors such as work location, individual qualifications, education, specializations, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role will be at or near the top half of the range provided, but the decision will be dependent on the factors of each individual case. The salary range for this position is $106,000 - $159,000. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation in the form of discretionary bonuses in addition to base salary and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
