Program Office partners with working professionals in their MBA

reports to the Director of Student Experience. The Assistant
Director - Events & Operations will be a crucial contributor to the
team, helping plan and execute important signature events and
activities designed to foster a sense of community. Additionally,

Advising for EWMBA students, including:
Assist students on academic and
degree progress.Assist students with operational and scheduling
issues.Provide information to students and faculty regarding campus
policies and procedures on student conduct.Contact/resource for
students on operations, billing, registration, program
requirements, and other requests for information.Assist Executive
Director with compiling data for student surveys.Advise student
leaders on event planning policies and procedures.Assists the
Director of Student Experience with the planning and execution of
EWMBA's various student experience programming, including student
capstone events (WE Launch, RE Launch, Mid Program Academic
Retreat, and WE Lead), other student experience events, and
Graduation.
Event assistance includes planning
and executing contracts with outside vendors, processing invoices,
detailed catering planning, reserving appropriate facilities,
coordinating logistics with faculty and GSIs.Event assistance for
staff offsites and events.Event assistance for special academic
coursesSaturday class logistics, including faculty communication,
event space management & catering planning and payment.Responsible
for key Academic Operations within the EWMBA Program, including:
Course materials procurement: liaison
with faculty to facilitate proper purchasing of digital licenses;
liaison with Study.net and Harvard Business Publishing to
facilitate proper purchasing of digital course materials; creating
purchase orders, and processing payments.Partners with Associate
Directors on international programs with contracting and vendor
relations. Liaison with other Haas programs (namely FT, EMBA, MFE)
student services staff to manage cross-over offerings.Responsible
for key Operational and Administrative tasks, including:
Responsible for EWMBA Program Office
business processes and for onboarding other EWMBA staff in these
processes.Reconciling purchases made on credit card.Database
maintenance: maintain and update all student databases, generates
and analyzes reports accordingly.Department resource for various
Campus Policies, including but not limited to Entertainment,
Travel, Covered Services, Procurement, & Vendor On-boarding.Web
development: maintain and update "current student" web pages and
other relevant EWMBA pages.Participate in budget
planning.Professional Learning and Growth

workshops, seminars, continuing education pertinent to the

Qualifications
Experience with budget management,
auditing, reporting and decision making.Experience working with
high profile customers and/or with an organization which provides a
high-end service or product.Experience in event planning,
management and goal setting.Knowledge and experience working with
diverse populations; multicultural competencies.Working knowledge
of and/or can quickly learn university settings, and the ability to
interpret policies and procedures to students.Outstanding customer
service focus.Outstanding attention to detail.Demonstrated ability
to work independently and with minimal supervision.Must be able to
establish priorities, meet deadlines, and work as part of a
team.The successful candidate must have a high comfort level with
technology, demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft applications
and Google Apps and comfort working with CRM and procurement
systems.Skills in service orientation, active listening, critical
thinking.Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal
skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Ability in

Salary offers are determined based on final candidate
