Job Title VP, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery What does a successful VP, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery do? The senior leadership role will lead in the development, implementation, testing, education and maintenance of the Card Services Disaster Recovery program, within our Financial Institutions Group, to ensure technology recovery in the event of an emergency or disaster. Oversight in maintaining standards and ensure that all plans are documented and meet those standards. The individual will work in conjunction with various functions, business partners and technology to ensure a high level of awareness across the company as well as the appropriate preparedness during the event of a disaster. Implement business-wide Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery [BC&DR] Policies and Standards and provide guidance to all senior leaders of the business to ensure they are in compliance. Direct complex and creative cross-functional assignments and multiple phases of a testing cycle. Establishes full life cycle plans for complex assignments that may include multiple platforms. This person will be a part of one of Fiserv's largest business units (Financial Institutions Group) with the opportunity to grow your career in banking and fintech, across a variety of platforms/domains including but not limited to mobile, Credit/Debit, network, ATM and risk. What you will do: -Develop and implements controls and/or solutions to complex business problems to ensure risks and exposures are properly mitigated. -Lead the execution of Data Center Disaster Recovery exercises. -Evaluate Business Unit infrastructure and system requirements in terms of corporate compliance. Proactively identifies and reports concerns or improvements impacting Disaster Recovery processes. -Mandate that the assessments and plans are adhering to Business Continuity Policies and Standards and are updated on an annual basis. -Work in close partnership with the Enterprise Business Continuity Team to identify issues or events that can impact facilities and/or assets. Respond and assist in mitigating all incidents that affect Fiserv's interests. -Participate in all audit & regulatory reviews that include BC&DR. -Act as a subject matter expert of Disaster Recovery concepts, methodology and best practices. -Assist technology teams with development and maintenance of Disaster Recovery plans including annual testing of those plans. -Develop and implement improvements and efficiency in Disaster Recovery program. -Maintain documentation and records as it relates to the EBC&DR program including recovery plans, test plans, maintenance and testing schedules, standards, vital records, critical applications and framework. -Assist in creating awareness throughout the company in order to elevate the EBC&DR program. What you will need to have: -Bachelor degree required; MBA or related field preferred -Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a multi-level production support/operations environment, preferably in Card Services or comparable industry -Be classified as a subject matter expert of Disaster Recovery concepts and methodology, along with payments industry best practices. -Must have Information Technology experience in the design and implementation of multi-site resilient system architecture. -Must have been responsible for delivering on technology solutions that routes customer traffic around system or technology failures. -Experience leading large scale incidents -A mind for process, a passion for data, and a willingness to take on tough challenges -Possess an understanding of the Disaster Recovery planning cycle including analysis, design, implementation, validation, testing, problem resolution -Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of constituencies, including senior executives. -Long-range thinking, planning, and development of plans against a defined strategy, paired with a track record of strong tactical execution. -Be available during off duty hours and willingness to travel to Fiserv locations What will be nice to have: -Extensive and broad knowledge of the organization, industry and relevant external forces, with a significant understanding of how the role of Card Services participates within the industry. -Ability to assess operational issues to determine root cause and appropriate long term solution -Significant knowledge of the financial services technology and the industry -Knowledge of budgets, financials, and statistical analysis -Prior experience in payments/financial services Travel: Up to 30% travel annually #LI-MK1 This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, Hawaii, New York or Washington.
