Lean Deployment Leader
Building on the Operational Excellence plan developed across Technical Operations (TOPS), this role involves working with key stakeholders to deploy an effective lean management system over the next three years in the US region.
This is a challenging and exciting position as our organization is in the early stages of building a lean culture. The role reports to the head of Global Operational Excellence.
Responsibilities

• Promote an OE mindset within the business and drive the deployment of the Daily Management System (BioMarin Lean model) in the United States, supporting Novato Supply Chain, Quality & Technical Development and Services, prioritizing efforts carefully.
  
• Partner with the EU Lean Master on initiatives such as Lean Labs, Value Stream Management, and other multi-week diagnostic approaches.
  
• Support strategic deployment efforts as needed, leading at least one key initiative annually to deliver measurable value.
  
• Respond to enterprise-wide opportunities and needs, stepping in to lead and support as required.

  Education & Experience
  
  • 
    
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in private industry.
    
  • College degree in any discipline.
    
  • Extensive practical lean experience and a qualified Six Sigma Black Belt.
    
  • Proven track record in driving performance through self and team.
    
  • Knowledge of cGMPs and industry regulations is advantageous.

    • Location: Novato, California, with a hybrid workstyle (2-4 days onsite per week).
      
    • Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.
      
    • Proficiency in facilitation, lean deployment, strategy deployment, value stream management, lean leadership, Six Sigma, agility, and innovation.
