for a 17 week travel assignment in Redwood City, California. As a

team. /n/nRequired Qualifications:/n/n /n/t - One year of recent
experience as an ER RN/n/t - Valid RN license in compliance with
state regulations/n/t - Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)/n/t -
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)/n/t - Current PALS (AHA / ARC)
or ENPC Certification/n /n/nPreferred Qualifications:/n/n /n/t -
TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP and SANE certifications/n/t - Other
certifications or licenses may be required for this position/n
/n/nSummary:/n/n The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
delivers rapid-response, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced
emergency department setting. This role involves assessing patient
conditions, implementing urgent care plans, administering
life-saving treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary
healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, efficient,
patient-centered care in critical situations. The ER RN
demonstrates strong clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking
abilities, excellent communication under pressure, and a commitment
to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and
professional ethics. /n/nEssential Work Functions:/n/n /n/t -
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival prioritizing care
based on the severity of their condition/n/t - Explain emergency
procedures and treatments to patients and families/n/t - Administer
prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved
emergency nursing techniques and protocols/n/t - Prepare equipment
and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations/n/t
- Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout their time in the
emergency department, responding to immediate needs/n/t - Observe
and document patient conditions as required within scope of
practice/n/t - Take and monitor vital signs using clinical judgment
to address deviations and prevent complications/n/t - Respond to
life-saving situations based upon emergency nursing standards,
policies, procedures, and protocols/n/t - Document comprehensive
nursing assessments interventions, and outcomes in electronic
medical records (EMR)/n/t - Initiate patient education plans
according to individualized needs, considering the acute nature of
emergency care/n/t - Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary
teams including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers
and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care/n/t - Perform
other duties as assigned within the scope of practice/n/t - Adhere
to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and
regulatory standards/n /n/nRequired Essential Skills:/n/n /n/t -
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal
communication skills/n/t - The ability to read, write, &
communicate in the English language is required/n/t - Ability to
read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,
and proficiency in PC skills/n/t - Physical Abilities - Remain in a
stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),
pushing, pulling, bending/n/t - Interpersonal Skills - To work
effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and
ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism/n/t -
Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,
pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with
procedures and/or using department equipment./n/t - Mental
Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the
general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well
as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to
contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and
