qualified Mother Baby RN in Berkeley, California, 94705! Pay
Information $2,563 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby /
Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of
experience preferred License: RN State License Certifications: BLS
Must-Have: Experience using Epic charting system preferred
Description: The registered nurse (RN) is responsible and
accountable for the overall management of nursing care provided.
This includes assuring competent, compassionate, and cost-effective
patient care from admission to discharge. The RN will ensure the
safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients. The
role involves performing disease prevention and restorative
measures. The RN must respond to medical and environmental
emergencies. Skills required include administration of blood and
blood products, anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, and IV
antibiotics. Experience is necessary with breastfeeding
instructions, postpartum hemorrhage management, and discharge
teaching to parents. Additional responsibilities include newborn
assessment, cord care, and pain assessment and management.
Familiarity with neonatal abstinence syndrome and caring for low
birth weight infants is preferred. The RN should be capable of
starting and maintaining IVs and administering vaccines. There may
be a requirement to cover weekends and float as needed. Patient
