Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position in California requiring a CA RN license, 3 years of ICU experience, and flexibility to float between units and campuses. Responsibilities - Work in the ICU of a hospital setting - Patient population includes critically ill adults requiring intensive monitoring and care - Shift schedule is 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 to 19:30 - Every other weekend scheduling and additional weekends based on unit needs - On-call duties may be required as needed - Must be flexible to float to other units within scope of practice and between hospital campuses as census needs arise - Travelers typically receive 1.5 hours' notice before floating and shuttle service is provided for campus transfers - Float expectations include flexibility to cover different units and campuses as needed - Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the hospital to be eligible for travel pay - Returning staff may apply only if at least one year has passed since previous assignment at the facility - Only one holiday request off (RTO) will be approved during the contract - Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing the agreement - Team members are supported with flexible floating and shuttle transportation between campuses Requirements - Active CA RN license required - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - A minimum of 3 years of RN ICU experience required - Must have been traveling as a nurse for more than one year Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619417.
