travel nursing job in Berkeley, California. Job Description &

Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring
an experienced Med/Surg RN with a current CA license and strong
orthopedic skills for day shift assignments with flexible floating
requirements. Responsibilities Work in the Medical Surgical and
Orthopedics department of a hospital setting Day shift, 3x12 hour
schedule from 7:00 to 19:30 Weekend shifts required every other
week No on-call responsibilities May float to other units within
scope of practice or to Hawthorne or Herrick campuses as needed A
shuttle is provided if floating to other campuses Epic charting
experience is preferred Responsible for comprehensive nursing care
management from admission to discharge Coordinates care with
physicians, patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Performs patient assessments, develops individualized care plans,
and evaluates care effectiveness Serves as patient advocate,
facilitates rounds and care conferences, and ensures safety and
comfort Delegates tasks and provides supervision or mentoring for
other care partners and new staff Modules and orientation will be
completed electronically during onboarding; module time varies by
specialty Only one holiday day off will be approved per assignment
Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
Current BLS certification from AHA is required Minimum of 2 years
of recent Med/Surg RN experience required Must provide copy of
certifications at time of consideration Must be available for lab
work within 3-5 days of signing Return staff must have been gone
one year to return as a traveler Applicants must reside at least 50
miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate Locals
