ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Berkeley, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3 shifts per week) • Every other weekend requirement • No on-call responsibilities • Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends • May float to other units within scope of practice or to different campuses (Hawthorne or Herrick) • 1.5 hour notice provided prior to shift start for floating assignments with shuttle service available • Work in Medical Surgical/Orthopedics Department serving adult and geriatric patients • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and California RN License (all must be AHA certified) • Epic charting system experience preferred • 2 years of nursing experience required for submission • Travel experience required • Must complete 12 hours of orientation and non-billable modules (1-5 hours average) • Perform comprehensive nursing care including medication administration, patient assessments, care planning, and patient education • Skills required include IV management, wound care, telemetry monitoring, and various medical/surgical procedures • Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy • Lab draw skills required • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing • Only one holiday time-off request will be approved during assignment Facility: This healthcare facility operates as part of a comprehensive medical system with multiple campus locations.
