Information $2,715 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Gastroenterology
(GI) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10
hours Experience: 2 years required, traveler experience preferred
(6 months) License: Valid RN License required Certifications: ACLS,
BLS required Must-Have: Strong background in complex
gastroenterology studies, particularly ERCP cases. Description: GI
RN needed. Candidate must have a strong background in complex
gastroenterology studies such as ERCP cases. The staff nurse is
responsible and accountable for the overall management of nursing
care provided. Assure competent, compassionate, and cost-effective
patient care from admission to discharge. Ensure the safety,
comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients. Perform
disease prevention and restorative measures. Respond to medical and
environmental emergencies. Plan and coordinate the delivery of care
to maximize efficiency. Set priorities for and provide patient care
in both routine and complex situations. Serve as a liaison between
nursing and medical staff for collaborative patient care.
Coordinate patient, physician, family, and other health team
members' involvement to manage care. Initiate and direct emergency
interventions in a calm and efficient manner. Exercise clinical
judgment and critical thinking in nursing processes and unit
activities. Administer treatments, medications, and perform nursing
skills in a timely manner. Maintain current knowledge of patient
care status. Monitor patient's perception of care through clinical
rounds. Inform physicians of significant changes in patient
condition. Analyze and integrate patient acuity levels accurately
and timely. Demonstrate knowledge and ability to effectively
interact with the patient population served. Conduct initial and
ongoing assessments of patients and families. Complete nursing
assessments within 24 hours of admission. Ensure individualized
goal-directed nursing processes to meet patient needs. Observe and
monitor patients at risk for untoward events. Implement precautions
to reduce risk and avoid events. Evaluate and re-evaluate the
effectiveness of the plan of care through observation and
communication. Develop the patient's plan of care based on
collaborative input from patients, families, and other disciplines.
Document patient assessments and communicate care plans and
outcomes with the health team. Modify plans as appropriate in
collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and other
