MRI Tech Location: Oakland, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,023 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: MRI Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (08:00 - 18:30); Mid 4x10-Hour (13:00 - 23:30) Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience License: Valid State License required Certifications: CRT or ARMRIT (MRI) or ARRT (MRI), BLS Must-Have: - 5 years of relevant experience in MRI - Certification in required modalities Description: MRI Tech needed for variable availability. No nights or call shifts; only days, evenings, and some weekends. Occasional weekends as needed. Competently performs routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures. Produces quality images for physicians and healthcare providers. Executes safe and precise procedures for accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from patients and families through effective communication. Adheres to all regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety. May perform specific procedures and help orient other staff in the department. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: Performs various diagnostic MRI examinations. Operates complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment. Ensures completion of routine and priority tasks within established time frames. Prepares for and assists physicians during invasive procedures. Explains procedures and medications to patients clearly and professionally. Mentors and fosters a constructive environment for students and new technologists. Performs general clerical tasks, including answering phones and updating patient appointments. Retrieves, enters, and revises patient electronic health records. Completes accurate documentation related to patients and procedures. Maintains inventory and orders supplies as needed. Implements safety standards to minimize radiation exposure. Maintains a clean and safe working environment. Inspects and calibrates equipment for proper operation. Records quality control (QC) results and reports malfunctions to the supervisor. Education: Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program or equivalent education/experience is required. Typical Experience: 5 years of recent relevant experience in MRI technology. Skills and Knowledge: General knowledge of MRI principles, procedures, and equipment. Ability to perform routine MRI examinations along with a basic understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology. Possesses written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information to diverse audiences.
