An opportunity is available for a Telemetry Technician to provide vital bedside care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and supporting registered nurses in delivering exceptional patient care. This contract position is set in Jackson, CA, and offers a structured day shift schedule of five 8-hour days (07:30 - 16:00). Key Responsibilities: - Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms through continuous surveillance and accurately interpret cardiac monitor strip print-outs. - Communicate any changes or dysrhythmias promptly to the healthcare team, adhering to established policies. - Deliver direct patient care including vital signs collection, specimen gathering, and assisting with admission, transfer, and discharge processes. - Support patients with nutrition, elimination, hygiene, and mobility needs. - Maintain and operate monitoring equipment with an understanding of physician procedures and treatments. - Educate patients regarding examinations, tests, and medical procedures to ease anxiety and increase cooperation. - Mentor and support nursing students and new nursing assistants to build skill and confidence within clinical environments. - Adhere strictly to privacy, safety, and regulatory standards. Qualifications: - Valid BLS certification and EKG certification (CCT/CRAT) required. - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential highly preferred. - Minimum of two years experience in a relevant healthcare setting. - Demonstrated ability to perform bedside care with precision and empathy. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within healthcare teams.
