you can expect As a DevOps Engineer, you will deploy and operate
data center and cloud software infrastructure. This senior role
within the Security DevOps team oversees critical production
systems, including secrets management, deployment pipelines, and
PKI. Responsibilities include defining and implementing projects to
enable features, improve system safety, enhance security, and
reduce costs. Expertise in running Kubernetes in the cloud and
applying security best practices is essential. Proficiency in
explaining complex concepts to engineers, leaders, and security
experts is required. This role demands strategic thinking,
balancing trade-offs, and adapting plans to achieve key objectives
for stakeholders effectively. About the Team At Zoom, our team
delivers the infrastructure that secures production services and
sensitive data. We work collaboratively across security, platform,
and engineering partners to solve complex problems. Our team exists
to reduce risk and enable safe, reliable product delivery.
Responsibilities Defining and drive projects that modernize our
secrets management infrastructure and/or deliver automation. Work
across teams to get your projects done, while also making
significant direct hands-on contributions to the projects. Drive
improvements to the security posture across Zoom. Influence the
direction of developer teams that own security infrastructure
components. Produce designs and lead more junior team members
through their implementation and deployment to production at scale,
using modern best practices (e.g. IaC) Communicate with
stakeholders including security teams and senior managers. What
we’re looking for Possess a Bachelors or Masters in Computer
Science or similar 8 years of SRE or DevOps experience Have
experience with at least one programming language, in addition to
scripting languages Have experience with logging and monitoring
tools (e.g. ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana) Have experience with
cloud providers (e.g. AWS, OCI) and cloud infrastructure
technologies (e.g. Terraform, Kubernetes) Have experience with
security from a DevOps perspective (e.g. running Vault) Able to
participate in on-call shifts, incident response, and work after
hours/weekends for application releases/deployments Have experience
with logging and monitoring tools (e.g. ELK stack, Prometheus,
Grafana) Have experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines,
and version control systems (e.g., Git) Have experience with system
design and distributed computing at scale Salary Range or On Target
Earnings: Minimum: $124 000,00 Maximum: $271 200,00 In addition to
the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct
Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary,
bonus and equity value. Note: Starting pay will be based on a
number of factors and commensurate with qualifications &
experience. We also have a location based compensation structure;
