Job Description:
Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution across
the United States, is seeking a diligent Class A Doubles Shuttle
Driver to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in
maintaining our commitment to efficient delivery services. As a
vital part of our logistics department, you will play a key role in
ensuring prompt and safe delivery of food and food-related products
to our extensive range of clients, from local family-owned eateries
to large national chains. Safely operating a Class A double
tractor-trailer to transport goods to various locations. Performing
pre and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
Coordinating with the logistics team to plan routes and track
deliveries. Loading and unloading cargo efficiently, using
appropriate tools and machinery. Maintaining accurate records of
deliveries, travel times, and fuel consumption. Adhering to traffic
laws, regulations, and company policies. Communicating effectively
with dispatch and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Proficient in operating a double-trailer truck. Strong time
management and organizational skills. Physical ability to load and
unload heavy cargo. Knowledge of traffic laws and transportation
regulations. Ability to handle unexpected situations, such as
