OUTFRONT Media (“OUTFRONT”) manages over 400,000 individual
advertising sites, many of which are the most iconic and valuable
advertising locations within the US and Canada. OUTFRONT’s strength
is a balance of real estate assets and its expertise in
location-based advertising sales. The advertising “value” at each
of these locations is derived from local and national brands’
desire to reach audiences with their specific messaging.
OUTFRONT owns and manages properties on behalf of real estate
partners. These partner relationships can take several forms but
are principally either long-term leases or, to a lesser extent,
sales representation agreements. OUTFRONT’s relationships with site
owners must be maintained in a customer-centric focus. These
relationships will evolve over time as OUTFRONT utilizes additional
technology and provides its partners with new revenue
opportunities. It is equally important that OUTFRONT grow its asset
base by finding additional strategic locations and forming new
relationships with real estate owners.
OUTFRONT is creating a group that is explicitly focused on
developing new and upgrading existing signage assets.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Real Estate, the VP
Real Estate Development will be responsible for signage development
efforts focusing primarily on securing new locations and upgrading
existing sites (conversion of static displays to digital). The VP
Real Estate Development will work collaboratively on a team led by
the SVP Real Estate Development. The position will also manage
OUTFRONT’s key strategic property-owner partner relationships with
whom a substantial number of existing site agreements reside, and
new opportunities are potentially created. This responsibility is
distinct from the company’s ongoing asset management efforts around
its many thousands of existing site arrangements.
Execute on strategic priorities for the targeting of
markets/sites based upon their potential advertising value.
Develop new sites in Top 25 DMA Markets (NFL Cities), markets
that compliment National Ad sales and achieve OUTFRONT’s ROI
hurdles, and sites that can take advantage of an expanding product
set (including cellular, digital displays, WiFi and Data & Audience
Responsible for development and execution of strategic growth
Manage and work in a highly collaborative team environment
including both real estate development and existing real estate
asset management teams. Establish new relationships and continue to
expand on existing relationships with company partners, key
developer and landlords.
Lead the conversion of the existing development pipeline that
exists in each market
Provide direction and lead new development projects
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; master’s degree in business or
related a plus
10+ years of real estate development experience
Strong analytical and negotiating skills
Proficiency in analyzing financial models
Key deal-making experience including, but not limited to
purchases, partnerships, representation, and operational
Experience with zoning and permitting, and political or lobbying
experience with an understanding of local municipal code and state
regulatory issues affecting the out-of-home advertising
Strong presentation skills with ability to represent OUTFRONT
with large real estate developers, municipalities and small
Proficiency in developing and delivering proposals,
presentations, and other customer-facing deliverables.
Strong organizational, communication and team-building
Excellent project management and issue resolution
