The St. Louis County Department of Public Health
(DPH) strives to keep St. Louis County one of the best places

regularly assessing the health and environment of the county and
responding with sound policies that help assure the availability of
high quality public health services for everyone.
The Department of Public Health operates three community
health centers and a corrections medicine practice providing
interdisciplinary primary care to approximately 33,000 individuals
in over 80,000 clinical visits per year and is seeking to
hire a Compliance Manager to oversee all compliance related
activities within DPH. A major function of the role will be serving
as the organization's HIPAA privacy officer overseeing the
development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to
privacy policies and procedures regarding the safe use and handling
of protected health information in compliance with federal HIPAA
regulations. Additional laws and regulations within the scope of
the position include but are not limited to: Medicaid and Medicare
regulations, 340B program requirements, OSHA regulations, CLIA
regulations, Infection Control programming, Stark and Anti-kickback
laws, and the False Claims Act.

Define existing and emerging regulatory requirements and laws
relevant to the organization and develop a comprehensive compliance

trainings related to applicable laws and regulations for the

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess a Master's Degree
in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field and five
years of related experience or an equivalent amount of training and

Additional Information SELECTION AND APPOINTMENT : A selection
committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant which
will include recentness and appropriateness of the applicant's
education and experience, answers to the supplemental questions,
results of employment references investigated and any other
appropriate information available.
The selection committee will admit to the interview only those
persons who possess the most job related qualifications and may
establish admittance criteria beyond the minimum qualifications
stated above. The interview will comprise 100% of the applicant's
earned grade. A candidate must earn a qualifying grade of 70 or
more on the interview to be eligible for appointment. After initial
interviews with the selected candidates are conducted, an email
will be sent to the address on file with instructions on how to
complete and submit a Conviction Questionnaire. Candidates have 3
days to complete the required questionnaire.
The five top ranking candidates, based on the final grade, will
be certified to the Department Director/Appointing Authority who
will make the final decision.

prior to appointment. Screening will be performed by a reputable
