What will you do

You will act as the Head of the EMEA Marketing team, providing guidance and vision to drive innovative marketing strategies for the brand, acting as an inspirational leader for the team, to positively impact team performance and deliver strong business results.

You’ll be responsible for creating consumer desire and visibility for The North Face brand which translates into profitable revenue growth. You’ll drive organizational capability to enhance to future growth in critical areas. You’ll bring a track record in managing successful global marketing initiatives across the region. And you’ll act as a leader with the ability to guide an organizational transformation towards digital in alignment with the organization’s strategy, purpose & values.

How you will make a difference

Leadership : serve as a key and active member of the EMEA Management team and play a key role within the Global Marketing team. Develop further the regional marketing organization to support future business initiatives, with specific focus on building a modern digital-oriented function. Mentor and direct team members to create and execute regional strategies, aligned with the Global direction. Inspire and infuse creativity. Continuously improve processes to link brand-building activities with Marketing, Sales, Digital, Product and DTC across all market segments and channels.

Brand : Serve as a passionate steward, advocate and gatekeeper for the Brand and its consumer voice. Promote global marketing alignment on brand messaging with reasonable localization. Define regional brand objectives, marketing initiatives and strategy that support The North Face strategies. Develop, maintains and drives The North Face Brand’s identity standards to ensure consistent corporate creative direction and brand identity.

Digital Acceleration : drive digital transformation with impact on all marketing areas and build the steps for implementing digitally enabled initiatives aligned to both brand strategy and customer needs. Create an agile digital strategy which meets the evolving needs, capitalizing on opportunities for transformation through value-adding relationship with Digital Accounts and leveraging the partnership with our eComm team. Engage all department’s heads to identify digital execution priorities to be included in the digital roadmap.

Communications : Lead creative process with internal and external groups to ensure that all marketing communications speak with a consistent voice. Drive regional brand preference and awareness with outdoor enthusiasts and explorers, while increasing awareness in general sector through marketing communications, digital, advertising, public relations, retail promotions and events.

Financial Responsibility : Ensure that EMEA annual Brand and Marketing plans are designed and implemented cross-functionally, to deliver financial results, securing that all critical Marketing initiatives are designed to achieve a positive MROI.

Strategic Marketing Support : contribute to develop strategies for GTM, Product Segmentation, Competitors Analysis, Consumer Insights and Market Dynamics.

Consumer focus : Partner with peer team to architect an integrated compelling consumer experience at various touchpoints which includes awareness, discovery, attraction, interaction, purchase, use, cultivation and advocacy. Utilize market data, consumer research and insights, and competitive intelligence to identify new consumer and customer opportunities. These plans must embrace all critical brand channels—Distributors, Retailers, Retail Stores, and the Online channels.

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field required.

Language skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Additional languages such as German, French, Spanish & Italian would be a plus

Requires a minimum of 10+ years marketing experience in positions of progressive responsibility; relevant experience in driving Digital Transformation; Knowledge of the Outdoor industry would be a plus; a passion for the Exploration is a key element to succeed in the brand

Strong Strategic & tactical marketing skills, Experience with all channels of marketing, including strong understanding of the digital environment and key accounts

Strategic leadership skills, ability to work in a matrix organization, proven experience in managing and leading a international team and multiple projects

International/EMEA perspective and consumer knowledge with a proven track record in delivering an industry-leading marketing proposition; experience in dealing, influencing and collaborate with Global counterparts is a plus.

Proven ability to deliver and execute the vision, bringing innovative solutions

Budget management and solid financial analysis skills

Availability to travel internationally (around 20% of the time, when will be possible)
