Description:Summary: Working in the Engineering division at our client that builds Particle Accelerators, which get's matrixed out to support various projects and operations at the facility. Currently, these openings are supporting on-going sustaining design work for the Advanced Light Source operation, in addition they will be supporting the initial and final design phase for the ALS - Upgrade project. Will be working on specific teams divided by product sub-system and responsible for contribution to the overall development of the new ALS.-Apply technical expertise and knowledge of basic engineering/scientific concepts and practices to provide multifunctional mechanical engineering design. Originate, evaluate, and prove mechanical engineering design concepts where the solution of technical problems is required and professional expertise is necessary. Consult with program and project team members to focus on the specifications, form, and function of the design. Collaborate on the definition of functional requirements and evaluate alternative design concepts consistent with schedule, cost, and material limitation. Direct the design of apparatus, equipment, assemblies, facilities, utilities and systems by interpreting and translating design concepts and layouts. Meet project / task schedules and budgets. Complete work assignments with accuracy and meet technical performance criteria with due consideration for cost/time constraints. Maintain appropriate level of documentation for activities. Demonstrate ability to manage complex assemblies and understand parent-child relationships. Apply advanced modeling skills including proper use of patterns, sweeps and trajectories, simplified reps and top down design techniques. Use CREO Parametric drawing package, including, but not limited to, GD&T, multiple sheet assembly drawings and detailed fabrication drawings.Skills:mechanical design, semiconductor, vacuum, semiconductor equipment, analysis, Creo, Proe, Sheet metal, Machine design, Design, PTC, ParametricTop Skills Details:-3-5+ years of experience-Creo Parametric or PTC Creo is a MUST HAVE!-They need either Ultra High Vacuum (UHV - (built vacuum stages, thermal cooling, xyz stages in vacuum) or opto-mechanical experience, this will be from semiconductor. This experience should be highlighted on their resume as one of their strengths.-Is great with good data in design, working in check ins/outs as part of a larger design group-Experience doing analysis from the design chair (Engineers will handle ANSYS)-Types of analysis: seismic, structural, thermal, vibration, modal -Experience designing precision equipment & sub assemblies (semiconductor, vacuum, optics, opto-electronics, fluid handling, temperature control, seismic, magnetic etc). It's okay if they didn't do whole system level design.- Working knowledge of ASME 14.5 and GD&T- Experience with 2D fabrication drawingsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:GvG: Windchill PL, cable routing design experienceExperience Level:Expert Level About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
