differences can achieve.Position OverviewThe Clinician facilitates
improved student mental and emotional well-being through
advocating, educating, and treatment in collaboration with other
CIP personnel and stakeholders of the student's success
ObjectivesDelivery of high-quality direct clinical services
including tele-counseling Working within the CIP Clinical Framework
to provide assessments, support plans, case management, as well as
individual and group counselingLeadership in crisis intervention
and emergency on-call situationsExcellence in communication and
collaboration with prescribing physicians on medication, the
continuity and support of external treatment plans and care.Mastery
and dedicated use of CIP's medical record platform - eCare Vault
Timely outreach and consultation with CIP staff and administration
Increasing student engagement, participation, self-awareness, and
self-advocacy in the ongoing process of personal mental health
management Developing effective skills and strategies for student
led navigation of mental, behavioral, and associated physical
health services in real world settings. Standard
ActivitiesDocumentation & recordkeeping of clinical assessments,
notes, and student related records.Assessment, review, and
participation in prospective and current student needs
analysisConducts individual student therapy sessions using
evidence- based practicesConducts group therapy using
evidence-based practices,Design, oversee, and manages behavioral
support plans in tandem with the studentAssists student in
assessing medication challenges and needs in coordination with
physician or psychiatric supportCoordinates with external providers
regarding therapeutic or psychopharmacological needs, where
applicableCoordinates with other personnel at CIP to remain
apprised of students' prescribed medications Provides, brief
solution-focused family consultations when appropriateAssesses for
safety when presented with concerns from the student or CIP team;
monitoring the risk of deliberate harm to self or others during
individual sessions and in emergency situations in collaboration
with teamGuides, informs and educates non-clinical staff regarding
diagnoses and their impact on a normalized basis. Effectively
communicating and collaborating with internal and external
stakeholders of the student's successOther duties as
assignedOccasional but rare work outside of normal business hours,
largely for client supportRequired Education / ExperienceMaster's
degree in a field such as social work, marriage and family therapy,
mental health counseling, Autism, Psychology or similarLicensed by
the state of practice or in active pursuit of a license with
current and ongoing supervisionProficient with office utility
computer software programs and a quick learner in new
technologiesPreferred Education / ExperienceExperience in the field
of autism and/or learning disabilitiesClinical experience in an
