Overview:ABOUT THE ROLEAre you passionate about supporting the mental health needs of BIPOC youth in an educational setting? So are we, and we're hiring a School-Based Therapist to help cultivate Unconditional Education with one of our close-knit school partnership teams.Seneca's Unconditional Education Berkeley Program is looking for a School-Based Therapist to provide therapeutic, case management, and consultation services for a caseload of students and their families at a Berkeley Public School site. As a Therapist, you'll coordinate services at the school site and support colleagues in including students successfully in diverse settings by providing teacher coaching, modeling, and development opportunities. Our programs deeply engage in conversations and training on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to bring equity and justice to the youth and families we serve.Responsibilities:Collaborate effectively with a trans-disciplinary team to implement academic, behavioral, and therapeutic services for students in need of intervention.Implement research-based interventions aligned with the three tiers of the MTSS pyramid, including individual, group, and family therapy as well as case management for identified students.Provide coaching and professional development to support school staff in experiencing success with all students.Engage caregivers in the educational process, providing frequent opportunities to discuss student growth and needs.Consult school staff on safety assessments, mental health crises, and accessing social services.Document interventions and provide necessary reports on student progress.Participate in regular supervision to enhance practice.Qualifications:Master's degree in Social Work or PsychologyCurrent registration with California BBS3+ years of experience working with youth in a mental health or educational settingValid California Driver's License and insurability under Seneca's automobile insurance carrierTB test clearance, fingerprints, and any other state or federal requirementsSchedule:Full-time5 weeks of paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and additional paid school break days.Benefits:Starting at $64,500-$78,500 per year, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the roleA $2000 salary increase upon completion of BBS hours and an additional $2000 salary increase upon licensureSalary increase upon passing a bilingual language proficiency examComprehensive employee benefits package:Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, and fertility coverageFamily leave, long-term disability, and life insurance50% paid premiums for dependants403b retirement planEmployer-Paid Assistance Plan5 weeks of flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and additional paid school break daysSeneca supports clinicians toward licensure and beyond:Individual and group supervision, regular clinical case conferences, and licensure/renewal courses led by field expertsMitigated outside training and licensure fees through a clinical training stipendAmple promotional opportunities across California and Washington State
