Supplier Requirements Engineer (SRE) within the Systems Engineering
function. - - This unique role requires an understanding of
engineering processes and the ability to communicate those ideas
into a contractually sound document. - -Duties include working
closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team
environment to develop procurement specifications and statements of
work for a variety of complex systems. - Uses the structured
requirements process and the requirements quality metric to ensure
requirements are clear, unambiguous and verifiable. - -Primary
Responsibilities:
- Lead teams to independently plan, organize and implement the
following supplier Systems Engineering tasks:
- Perform decomposition of Prime requirements to establish cross
reference of customer to supplier requirements and determine
Supplier applicability
- Create Supplier Statement of Work and Supplier Data
Requirements program templates through systems analysis and
extensive coordination with subject matter experts to verify
necessity of inclusion and sufficiency of coverage of customer
requirements
- Create lean Supplier Statements of Work and Supplier Data
Requirements with emphasis on affordability and first-time quality
to ensure all requirements are technically accurate, complete and
written in a way to remove ambiguity and consistently communicate
clear and concise direction. -
- Develop program systems and processes to integrate Supplier
Requirements Engineering and requirements quality throughout the
program.
- Coordination with Supplier Management and Procurement on Buy To
Package (BTP) elements, Request for Proposal (RFP) supplier source
selection, and Purchase Contract (PC) negotiation processes
- Cost evaluation of engineering elements of supplier
proposals
- Integration of supplier SE process with the Boeing SE
process.
- Develops, maintains and identifies improvements in the
planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of
requirements management processesThis position allows
telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform
some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This
position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, for
which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S.
Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is
considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and
Experience):
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry.

Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is
the preferred, although not required, accreditation
