Staff Research Scientist / Engineer
Biology Foundation Models ($100M+ Seed)
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, USA
Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 + bonus + equity

Opportunity to become a core member of a rapidly growing division founded by leading experts in tech and academia. We are seeking specialists in modern AI methods & architectures applied to Biomedical Imaging, Sequences, or Networks.
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and train innovative AI models for multimodal biodiscovery.
  
• Research and refine models to optimize performance in data transformation.
  
• Review the latest literature and fine-tune models to advance biological breakthroughs.
  
• Influence the project roadmap and participate in talent onboarding for team development.
  
  Requirements:
  
  
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields.
  
• At least 3 years of experience developing and training LLM, Diffusion, or GNN models.
  
• Experience with computational packages in chemistry or biology is a plus.
  
• Proficiency in utilizing high-performance GPU clusters.
