2024Full-time PositionAbout the Role:Housed at Stanford Graduate
School of Education, the SCALE initiative (Systems Change for
Advancing Learning and Equity) works to equalize and improve
educational opportunities for students by supporting implementation
of the most promising educational practices. One such project
within this initiative is the National Student Support Accelerator
(NSSA), a project begun in response to the pandemic and addressing
the learning and emotional needs of students.What You'll
Do:Reporting to the Quality and Improvement Program Manager, the
Program Administrator will support administrative processes and
collaborative efforts that will further the work of the Tools team
to drive implementation of high-impact tutoring by supporting the
development of research-backed resources and tools, and promoting
quality standards. The work will include facilitation of the
Tutoring Quality Improvement System (TQIS), which acts as a
tutoring program quality assessment tool for the field. The Quality
& Improvement Program Administrator must have a demonstrated
ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures
in an inclusive environment.Core Duties:
- Coordinate email correspondence, data organization, data
tracking, resources, and information for tutoring organizations
participating in Tutoring Quality and Improvement System
(TQIS).
- Support in executing the TQIS system, including the
Self-Assessment and the Badging Process as outlined in the
operating manual, and suggest and implement updates to the
system.
- Support the Program Manager to facilitate communication with
the engagement team, research team, and consultants regarding
project needs for the Tools team.
- Answer or draft answers to basic inquiries from tutoring
provider or state/district level contacts regarding TQIS and
request support for more complex inquiries.
- Serve as a resource regarding a defined set of Tools content,
policies, and procedures, and as needed take ownership of select
project elements.
- Support the tool development process through coordination,
tracking, research, outreach, and other efforts for the tools team
under the supervision and guidance of the program manager.
- Maintain and suggest updates regarding approved content on the
NSSA website(s).Additional Responsibilities:
- Occasionally review relevant articles and other resources to
ensure NSSA team is aware of news and trends in the field and
provide input into strategic advising, tools, research, and
engagement efforts.Job Requirements:To be successful in this role,
you will bring:Minimum education and experience requirements: High
school diploma and three years of administrative experience, or
combination of education and relevant experience.Knowledge, Skills
and Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with
office software and email applications.
- Demonstrated success in following through and completing
routine tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.Desired Qualifications:
- Passion for driving equitable education outcomes for all
students and specifically for high-impact tutoring.
- Ability to assess workflows and design and implement systems to
streamline operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft, Google, Slack, Zoom, and other social
