Who we are:Alley Cat is a locally-owned family-run business. We
specialize in rodent proofing and rodent waste removal and
sanitation.Through our highly rodent-trained team, homes become a
rodent-free fortress meaning no more rats and mice! Our team
specializes in rodent control and knows how to get the job done
correctly the first time! Alley Cat started in 2016 in Oakland,
California. Since then, we have grown to cover Contra Costa, Marin,
and Alameda counties.Objective / Purpose:The Process Improvement
Specialist will be responsible for reviewing current procedures,
and implementing new processes utilizing enhanced products
available on the market today. The goal of this role would be to
allow the company to remain competitive and meet customer
expectations effectively. Working closely with Alley Cat's CEO, the
Process Improvement Specialist will manage the continuous
improvement process: identify a market needs, research and select
what new and enhanced products to use, validate success of selected
solutions, build process roadmaps, implement products and processes
and train staff. Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Identify and document business needs for processes, procedures
and new production to use in our service offerings; create improved
processes and workflows based off analysis
- Work closely with the field team, including field visits, to
review processes, validate success of changes and provide continual
training
- Develop and implement business improvement strategies; field
operations, process organization, KPIs, employee performance,
customer service, etc.
- Assist in the develop, implementation and training on new
internal software to monitor employee performance and customer
service
- Coordinate and manage key process improvement / change projects
(launching new products / services)
- Facilitate business process re-engineering within and across
divisions
- Make recommendations for change, involving process redesign and
business development
- Ensure efficient and effective resource use at the lowest
cost
- Ensure accurate and organized process documentation in
procedures, paperwork and computer systems
- Supervise product and service quality by adherence to product
use, sanitation and inspection
- Ensure ongoing coaching, development and training of team
members for a productive work environment
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurable
criteria to ensure desired results are obtained and maintained;
provide management with project progress
- Align process goals with company's key initiatives
- Identify hard and soft training needs and work with management
to implement such trainings
- Staying up to date with products on the market to implement in
our service offerings
- Consult market research materials and sales data to ensure that
products are viable and competitive
- Investigate and test new equipment
- Submit product and process ideas for evaluation by the CEO and
management team before moving to the next stage
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and
procedures
- Must be able to complete tasks within tight deadlines and work
in a fast paced environment
- Will be required to work directly with customers / clients
- Will be required to work in the field up to 5% travel to ensure
implementation of new products is successful and quality is being
maintained
- Perform other duties as assigned Work Experience: Skills &
Qualifications - Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including
the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external
customers
- Highly innovative with the ability to think creatively,
problem-solve, and work well within a team
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and
Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while
maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer
service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assigned tasks
to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed
routines, and standard accepted practices
- Minimum of 3 years experience in quality, operations, and/or
continuous improvement functions Education
- High school diploma or equivalent - required
- Bachelor Degree in business administration, process management,
project management, operations or similar - preferred Physical
Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job
functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state
and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or
quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent
with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local
standards.
