ABOUT THE POSITION:
Sales and Conference Service Coordinator serves as the point of
contact for clients and communicates with them by phone and email
to respond to questions and requests. This position will challenge
the selected candidate to contribute to the development and
delivery of meeting/convention services, which will exceed client
expectations. Qualified candidates will have working knowledge in
preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and
completely, answering telephones using appropriate etiquette.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers
and various departments in the hotel. As part of the Sales and
Catering team, candidates must maintain confidentiality of
proprietary information, and protect company assets. Residence Inn

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnering with multiple internal and external customers -- Client,
Corporate Sales, Front of House, Banquet Services, Catering, Back
of House- to deliver event execution
Conceptualize, draft and send well-constructed and professional
correspondence and proposals.
Host property tours, familiarizing customers and potential
customers with property features, products and services.
Maintain positive inner-hotel relationships with all hotel
departments to expedite efficient communication.
Group Rooms Coordinator, manage and input rooming lists and
Developing group quotes and negotiating with third-party product
and service providers
Sending initial confirmations in connection with bookings and
following up at specified intervals prior to the event to confirm
status of meeting, guest counts, needs for special equipment
Execute basic administrative tasks
Familiarize yourself with each group, knowing the contact, meeting
Able to assist the Director of Sales, Sales and Catering Managers
on last minute pop-ups, changes, etc.
Supporting and serving as the onsite contact during event
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time to
interact with others; customers, employees and third parties.
Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training
abilities are used often. May be required to work nights, weekends,
Minimum of two (2) years hotel experience
Computer knowledge using software such as FOSSEY and CITY is
preferred (Marriott reservations and Sales Systems).
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule
